This course will examine the sources of Islamic law, its basic methodologies and the foundation of the legal schools through a historical analysis of the classical era.

FAQ's

Is there an Attendance Policy?

Yes, Attendance is regularly marked for this program. In order to qualify for the certifictae at the end of the program, students need to maintain at least 80% attendance (either by attending live classes or recorded lessons). Students are not penalized for ONLY listening to recordings.

Will there be an exam every year?

Yes. Those students who wish to receive a degree at the end of the program need to appear for Annual Exams.

What if I cannot make it to class at the stipulated class time? Will I have access to recordings?

Recordings are available for all classes and students are not penalized for ONLY listening to recordings.

Are there any pre-requisites I should be aware of?

The ability to recognize Arabic letters is a prerequisite for Arabic classes. 

Is it possible to enroll as a listener and not give exams?

We allow listeners in Tafsir classes only.

Is there a Fee that I need to pay to enroll in this Program?

Students are not required to pay any fee. Our certificate programs are offered free of cost. Suggested donation per student per semester is USD 50. 

What if I have to miss classes during the year because of my work commitments?

This course has been designed to cater to working professionals and students, so we do understand that there may be occasions when you may not be able to attend class for genuine reasons. In such scenarios, we provide recordings so that students may catch up with the classes they have missed.
